Nice to meet you, "cousin"...

I can't find anyone to claim Senator Henry Dawes, of Dawes Act fame (or infamy, according to my Cherokee friend)... would like to hear HIS side of the story some day. Do you know anything about Senator Henry? If you haven't seen it, Arlo Stray Calf Dawes writes a poignant story of how a Cherokee family got the name Dawes at http://www.colorpro.com/wmdawes/native.html.

And feel free to contribute to Charles G. Lore/Stories. One of your relatives told me of a connection between Bill Gates family and yours! I might put up a Charles G. Lore page to allow your family to make such contributions automatically. Would you be willing to moderate/ approve entries to such a page? Format would be like you see on the guest book at http://members.home.net/wmdawes/dawes-genealogy/.
